- 1977-1979  -  Won Minto Junior High School Singles Badminton Championship.

- 1980-1981
  -  Ranked #1 in the  Provincial Senior High School Badminton Championship.
This Championship was cancelled due to an Extracurricular Work to Rule.

1979-1981  -  Captain of the Provincial AA and AAA Champion Minto High
School Tigers Hockey Team.

1980-1981  -  Established a record for most goals ,assists and points in a single season in the New Brunswick
AAA High School Hockey League – 70 points in 20 games. Mark recorded
 156 points during his High School career.

- 1980-1981  -   Goaltender for the Provincial  Class A Champion Minto High Tigers Soccer Team. Recorded  7  consecutive shutouts.

1980-1981  -   Member of the NB Midget Softball Championship Team and participated in the 
Canadian Midget Softball Championship in Swift Current Saskatchewan.

- 1981  -   Awarded an Academic Hockey Scholarship to attend Princeton University.

- 1981-1982  -   Left Princeton to join the OHL Major Junior Toronto Marlboros , scoring his 1st goal in his 1st game
played at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Played against future NHL Hall of Fame players Doug Gilmour ,Scott Stevens
,Steve Yzerman ,Dave Andreychuk ,and Al MacInnis.

1982 -1984  -  Finished first or tied for first in points for the UNB Red Devils Hockey Team.

1982- 1983  -  Earned the Rookie of the Year Award for the UNB Red Devils Hockey Team.

- 1983-1984   -  Led the UNB Red Devils in playoff points.

- 1983-1984   -  Won the AUS Hockey Championship as a member of the UNB Red Devils.

- 1982-1985   -  Won numerous UNB Athlete of the Week and UNB Academic/Athletic Awards.

- 1985-1986   -  Member of the Senior AAA Minto Alpine Lakers Hockey Team and was selected to play in
the annual NB Senior Hockey League All Star game.

- 2011 -   Inducted into the Minto Sports Wall of Fame with the Provincial AA and AAA High School Hockey
Champion Minto High School Tigers.
