to head to Red Deer, Alberta to referee hockey for the 2019 Canada Winter Games

BOWLING CHAMPIONS

LOCAL HOCKEY TEAM WINS TOURNAMENT IN NASHVILLE

Ye Old Miners hockey team traveled to Nashville to compete in a world old timers hockey tournament, and they WON! Mel MacKenzie says it was "quite a thrill" to play at the Predator's Arena. Taking the tournament by storm the Ye Old Miners won all of there games and came home as champs. Congratulations on behalf of the Sports Wall of Fame, past and present inductee's as well family and friends. You have truly represented your communities!!

 

 

 



2018 NEW BRUNSWICK SPORTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

It has been announced provincially that Bob Deap will be inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame on June 9th at a ceremony at the Moncton Coliseum.

 

Bob Deap of Scotchtown. NB is a respected coach and administrator with over forty-five years of motivating and encouraging future leaders in the sport of hockey. Under his direction, the Minto High team won the A, AA and AAA provincial championships – a feat that has never since been duplicated – which was featured on Hockey Night in Canada and ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

 

After his retirement from coaching he continued to play an active role as Chair on numerous provincial and national hockey organizations. Bob Deap was inducted into the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame in 2007 and a four-time inductee in the Minto Sports Wall of Fame in 2011-2013 and 2017.

 

On behalf of the Minto Sports Wall of Fame Board, past and present inductees, as well as family and friends

we want to congratulate Bob for all he has accomplished and thank him for all he has done to elevate

hockey in New Brunswick and on a National Level.

This is truly well deserved!!! Congratulations Bob!!

Mountain Bike Minto is an organization that advocates and supports the sport of mountain biking

in the Minto, NB region. We build and maintain singletrack trails for various skill levels, and hold

mountain biking events. There are two trailheads from which the trail system can be accessed:

Just off of NB-10 on Northfield Ave and at the end of New England Rd.
