• Established a broad-based extra-curricular program with particular emphasis on soccer, hockey, basketball, track and field, and distance running.

• Accumulated funding for equipment and uniforms

• Ensured that teachers were employed to coach various sports

• Arranged games, provided transportation and attended all games, home and away

• Diligently strove to place Minto High School teams and athletes among the best in the Province and did so without disrupting the athlete's academic and social life

• Initiated the construction of an outdoor rink at Minto Memorial High
