      1960’s   -  Active member of the Minto Centennial Arena Ltd. Initiation Committee ,canvassing for much
needed funds to make this project a reality.

-  Managed the Minto Centennial Arena for over a decade.

-  Managed the Minto Miners Fastball team.

1970’s   -  Instrumental in the establishment of the Minto Minor Hockey Association.

-  Provided player  transportation to and from games and practices.

1980’s   -  Initiated and submitted numerous applications for Provincial and Federal grantsused for the
development of sports and sport facilities within the village.

-  Presented with awards from Minto Minor Hockey , Esso , and the RCMP in
recognition  of his support of athletics in the Minto area.

 1990’s   -  Promoted and proposed a Sports Family  Park at the Green Bridge in North Minto. This park became a
reality in the late 1990’s and included a sliding hill and walking trail.
