Took up Golf at the age of 43 and participated for the next 40 years.

Won the Minto Seniors Club Championship 5 consecutive years (1985, 86, 87, 88, 89)

1996 - Earned a Silver Medal at the first Canadian Senior Games in Regina, Sask.

2002 - At the age of 79, captured a Bronze Medal at the Canadian Senior Games in Summerside, PEI
